On one hand, it's a shame a rare car such as a 604 is modified this way.
On the other, respect to the guy who made it. It seems well constructed and nicely finished. Chapeau!
Unfortunately it had seen better times.....

This (handmade?) pickup is in much better condition. It has been for sale
some years ago on E-bay. At that time we just purchased another 604, so
we passed our turn....which we regret now.

The same thing has been done with a little more
prestigious car : a Citroën SM, in USA.

I don't agree, but it is my own opinion, and that's all.

The idea is not new... Chevrolet has done the " El Camino", yes , it was at the manufacter's .
But everybody is free to do what he wants, for example :

A power flower paintings an 604, which seems to have been manufactured yesterday, or on a completely rusty one, why not ?

To crash one with only 10 000 km...
So, we are ephemeral holders.

But if somebody find these sentences funny... what should be the reactions ( for example) with the same work on a Limousine Heuliez today ?

My reaction would be: wow, that's a BIG pick-up.

But obviously it don't agree if anybody is now planning to do it to a heuliez.

Off.topic: Does anybody know how many heuliez are still on the road today?
Only 127 are made if I remember well.

It is your opinion... and I respect it, but why obviously :?:

I just try to be objective... why not ? I like the 604, and I don't agree for every models. :(

It is like most of peoples would say : " it's a Diesel model 5 speed" less interesting than an Fuel Injection automatic...

It is absolutely subjective  , because it depends of us, of each person.

I think it doesn't worth to justify something regarding the number of models built

OK, I agree I did not choose my words very well.
I mean, I wouldn't do it on a classic car, especially if there are not a lot existant or if it is in very good condition.
For example. if a car is in bad shape and almost send for destruction, I will encourage people to use it for such a project to get it back on the road. But please don't do it to rare cars in good condition.
But again, indeed this is an opinion.

PS.: My 505 Dangel is the last right hand drive Dangel still driving in the world if I'm good informed. Somebody contected me who wants to buy it and put the steering wheel on the other side. Our discussion was over quite quickly because I didn't agree. It would make RHD Dangels non-existant, which I think it's a pity.

Brownie,

we are ok :!:

About your Dangel , I know by Christophe V6 that Henri Dangel died there is a few time.

And the manufactory is seeking the cars still in use, all over the world.

Will,
there is a few time :?:

If you want to mean ('il y'a peu de temps'), you must use : "a little time ago"
If you want to mean ('il y'a quelques temps'), you must use "some time ago"

Finally, It has been nearly one year that Henry Dangel is deceased.
