Sujet du message:  Coming home, a 604 has arrived
After a beauty sleep of some 7 years, we woke up our French and blue 6 :lol: 4.
Last Tuesday (19th of June) we brought her home, it's a 6 :lol: 4 Ti from 1979:

We had a nice ride. Paull had to get used to the manual gearbox and the
(again) different suspension and steering. But getting used to driving any
6 :lol: 4 is no problem for him. 8) It is a very comfortable car, with nice
light gray fabrics (anyone selling his light gray leather??) and it only has
ran some 62.000 km.

Today we went to the control and customs office. First we had the car
technically controlled and she passed. :P

Then we went to the customs desk to have the car officially imported into
the Netherlands. Coming week we expect the Dutch licenseplate number.
If all goes well, we expect to take her (back) to the Vendée this summer.

Some little work to do, like building in a nice (modern) radioset and cruise
control.

So we are looking forward to our summervacation!!

PS:
We could choose whether we wanted this 6 :lol: 4 to be called blue or
gray in the official documents. :shock:

Probably : blue iced (bleu glacier)
- green torrent (vert torrent) like clear green water

Now, how many 6o4 do you have at Home :?: 4,5, 6 :?:

I like the coleur especially. :wink: It seems to be same as mine. In the
advertisement of my 604 it was said to be "blue clair metalissé", but that
is probably not the official name.

The carriage-builders have the name which corresponds to the number of painting registered in the driving compartment, on the left wing.

It is enough to give this number and you will know the name of painting. It specifies even the alternatives of colour.

Hello Xavier,

We have stopped counting some years ago. :P

Don't be jealous; apart from the pleasure, it's also a lot of hard work to
keep them running.
Working on a 6 :lol: 4 prevents you doing "bad" things. 8)

These Amil rims were delivered as an extra option before alloy TRX rims.

Standard sizes for SL or TI are 175-14.

Then, to keep the same development of the wheel, you can have 195/70-14...

On my Limo, as the tyre size is 185 - 14, I have 205/70 - 14! :lol:

Without forgetting MKi's great car :wink:

Amil alloy wheels, when fitted on 504, 505, 604 give more class :!:

it is the french touch, another way of "l'élégance à la française". :wink:

I like very much this wheel model :D

But like it is said, about tires sizes, it's more safe to fit 195/70/14.
